Where Is Star Wars Hotel Being Built – Construction continues on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Hotel. This hotel will be a truly unique and fully immersive experience that transports guests to a galaxy far, far away for a two-night stay.

Thanks to Jonathan Salazar in these updated construction photos, we can see landscaping being added to the grounds of the new resort. Trees now line the entire entrance, which helps block the view from elements that might detract from the immersive experience.

Paving is also on the way, as the sidewalk now extends from the porte cochère to the front of the resort. The ground under the porte cochère appears to be filled with concrete, as does the entire shuttle stop area in the left image in the image below.

Disney’s Star Wars Land Hotel Opens In 2021, Here’s How It Works

Recently, construction has been underway at the bus stop in front of the hotel. From this pier, guests will board shuttles that can take them directly to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

As far as we know, the Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser hotel will still be open this year. Walt Disney World recently posted a job posting looking for a hotel manager for the resort, and we’re hoping that’s a sign that the hotel will be opening sooner rather than later.

Disney executives recently gave us an inside look at the two types of staterooms available at the hotel, and we’re excited to see the progress continue.

Disney World’s Star Wars Hotel Opening In 2022, New Details Revealed

Projects like TRON Lightcycle Run, Harmonious, the PLAY! The pavilion and more are officially in the works at Walt Disney World, after being put on hold during the shutdown.

But those aren’t the only big projects Disney is working on again. Disney has also moved forward with its plans for a Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel.

Although the new Star Wars hotel will be more of an all-inclusive cruise experience than an actual resort, guests will still have Batu “excursions” and the ability to wield Jedi powers. As construction on the parks continued, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser continued to be built with its transport ship, Halcyon starship and other features.

While @bioreconstruct was over the parks today, they were able to give us another look at the hotel’s progress. It looks like Disney has installed a bridge that will take guests on a themed shuttle from the Star Wars Hotel to Galaxy’s Edge.

Our DFB reader @thedisneypilot also sent us a look at the construction of the parks. The building appears to have multiple walls and panels installed as the hotel accommodates its guests, CRAZY space restaurants and individualized experiences that will be available when it opens.

After seeing all the progress, we can’t wait to explore what Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser brings to the table!

The resort was due to open in 2021, with bookings expected to go live later this year. Disney hasn’t shared many updates on the launch timeline, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

New images shared on Twitter by user @Biorconstruct show just the skull and bones of the Star Wars-themed resort. The new intergalactic hotel was only announced at D23 Expo 2017. Although for a while it seemed like this hotel was light years away, and according to these new images, it looks like it may be a while before we see the hotel open for operations.
