I love the Seaside Hotel series so much that I bought an international DVD player so I can watch seasons 4 and 5 now without waiting for it to be available on prime.

The best series since before WWII! I love writing and acting is great too. I like Downton Abbey because it’s a little bit funny and has a lot of good humor. There are some serious issues, but not as melodramatic as DA. The show is amazing and has a beautiful sea setting, beautiful clothes/patterns. For those who don’t like subtitles, I think you’ll forget that you’re in the story. As for the subtitles, the dialogue is easy enough to follow. I really hope they add all 7 seasons… please,??? This program is not available in the United States.
I thought the subtitles would bother me, but I was so wrapped up in the story that I quickly forgot. I also thought it would be a boring series because it was about the same guests returning to the same hotel this summer after the summer. I was so wrong! The characters are funny and the stories are filled with enough drama, humor and suspense to keep me engaged until the end of the fourth season! Please PBS and/or donate a few more times. In our times of lockdown and social distancing, watching television has become a part of our daily lives. I, for one, want to continue watching something I’ve enjoyed so far!
I just want to be near the beach right now, and the series is the next best thing. Set in the 1920s and early 1930s of Dutch history, this fantastic series has strong characters and is funny and entertaining. It also has a certain flair that reminds me of those fling Sabine opera-style storylines. The subtitles are very easy to follow and I love the title. There’s no violence (so sad these days) – there’s intrigue, romance, laziness, and some amazing beachside scenery. I really feel like I’ve been on a beach vacation every time I look at it. Perfect for these lonely times during Covid. Bravo for this beautiful and interesting cast. Good morning.
This series is fun, cute and very human. In times of brutality and evil here is a warm, funny and over the top show full of compassion for heroes and human follies. At the same time, it protects the emotions and does not go away. It’s a gem!

I don’t know why they cycle through the seasons at such a rapid pace, but it’s worth the wait. This is the best of anything Masterpiece Theater is putting out these days. It’s light entertainment at its best. I hope they continue to do this.

Season 6 isn’t as good as season 5…and Season 5 isn’t as good as seasons 1 – 4, but it’s still a great series. After watching 6 seasons (I’m looking forward to the 7th season!), the characters of “badehotel” every summer become like a family – not only to one, but also to the audience. I love this show!

We were caught after the first season. I couldn’t wait for season 6 to come out in the US. Unfortunately Season 6 was only available in PAL DVD format, but a cheap DVD player was found that could convert and play both formats. Now we look forward to the seventh season!
After four months I finally broke down and bought a DVD that plays well with season 6 from. If you want to skip Season 5, buy the car and CD. The price is worth the return and the work is good. Just looking at it now and it feels like we’re back with old friends who got us through the early months of Coved. JAW
It’s an interesting look at holiday life in Denmark up and down as the world goes through the worst of times (WWII). Probably because there is a war, but no. . . life goes on, until it doesn’t.
The Seaside Hotel did not disappoint. It’s great to experience the culture and history of Denmark in this pre-World War II era. Different questions are considered true. Good boy.

Amazing character development and story arc. It’s so good that you forget to read the subtitles. Of course. You can watch seasons one and two on, but the last season is only available on European DVD, which is also available on, and on, your European DVD player. Take Sony. That’s good.

Good series. Season 1 was. This purchase was the second quarter. It is the biggest fashion show in a Danish hotel. The same group of people, families and two children return every spring during the season. Good thing we found there were 6 seasons. We couldn’t find a copy of the rest of the seasons. So we called TV 2 in Denmark and were able to buy seasons 3-6 directly. It was a very simple matter.
Don’t make us wait for the rest of the season and now we are facing all the great people; play is a typical Scandinavian style! It’s the 1930s and the financial crisis seems to have no effect on hotel guests. However, behind closed doors, the full spectrum begins to fall apart. I am so happy that there are 6 seasons of this show (and they are working on the seventh). I started watching it because I love the 1920s and I’m studying Danish. But I keep watching it because the characters are so good. I wish each season was 50 episodes, but six tells a story and doesn’t grow. It’s like Denmark’s Downton Abbey without the extreme drama. Regardless of the sun, you will love every part.
A fun show. Good shooting and performance. It’s refreshing to see so many “old” characters have full stories. Well, life doesn’t stop after 30. Who can tell in Hollywood?!
