One of America’s most notorious hotels is being investigated for paranormal activity by Discovery’s upcoming, all-new streaming platform.

For the first time, a film crew at the Hotel Cecil in downtown Los Angeles, California attempts to catch signs of the spirit in its halls. As a result, the two-hour special Ghost Adventures: Hotel Cecil will be available on Discovery+ in January 2021.

According to an official Discovery press release, the Ghost Adventures crew of Jack Baggans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wesley and Billy Tolley will explore the hotel’s murky past and spooky moments.

Among these moments is the well-publicized case of Eliza Lam, a Canadian tourist whose body was found in a hotel water tank. Earlier, footage showing Lam nervously entering an elevator hinted at even more terrifying events. The story revolves around Lam’s death – and its aftermath – which remains a mystery.

Another notable guest at Hotel Cecil was Richard Ramirez. Ramirez, later known as the Night Stalker, was a serial killer who terrorized Los Angeles in the eighties. He was sentenced to death for killing 14 people and died of cancer before his execution.

“It’s bigger and less scary than that,” said Bagans, the chief paranormal investigator. “We’ve been trying to get into these rooms for over a decade, so this is a really big deal — the first special investigation at the Cecil Hotel. It has a dark history and a reputation, and it is one of our most difficult places.’

Located in the heart of Main Street in Los Angeles, an infamous hotel with a past surrounded by multiple suicides, murders, Satan worshipers and serial killers. It is perhaps best known for the recent mysterious death of a young woman named Elisa Lam, whose body was found in the hotel’s water tower without explaining what happened. His mysterious death remains unsolved, and Lam’s strange elevator surveillance video has sparked many theories, including the supernatural.

Now, for the first time, the cameras inside the Cecil Hotel will be allowed to explore ghostly proportions in a two-hour special, Ghost Adventures: The Cecil Hotel, on Discovery, Inc.’s Discovery+ streaming service, beginning Monday, Jan. 4 at 4 p.m. 2021. “It doesn’t get any bigger or scarier than this,” said Jack Bagans, chief paranormal investigator. “We’ve been trying to get into these rooms for over a decade, so this is a really big deal – the first paranormal investigation at Hotel Cecil. It has a dark and infamous history and is one of our most haunted places. This is not your average hotel. The Cecil Hotel is full of creepy activity and haunts, drug dealers and even serial killers. Richard Ramirez, “The Night Stalker,” a self-proclaimed Satan worshiper, was rumored to have committed some of his murders while staying at a hotel in the 1980s. Filled with tales of paranormal activity, the historic building has inspired books, movies and even a season of American Horror Story.

In 2013, it became one of the mysteries of the 21st century when the body of college student Elisa Lam was found in one of the hotel’s rooftop water tanks. The only clue was a disturbing security camera footage of Lam’s strange behavior inside the hotel elevator before his untimely disappearance and death. The incident remains a mystery and questions are raised as to how Lam got into the tank and whether it was man or a dark force that brought him there.

The Ghost Adventures team – Jack Baggans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wesley and Billy Tolley – begin their investigation by retracing the steps of Eliza Lam. Psychic mediums enlist the help of Michael and Marty Parry, who investigate the room she was in, the water tower she was found in, and even the elevator where she was last seen. They’re convinced the property has a lot going for it, and it’s probably thanks to one of its most famous former residents, murderer Richard Ramirez. Could Ramirez’s satanic ritual have opened the Hotel Cecil to a demonic attack that could have affected Lam?

This is my first review ever. I am very concerned that this season is not available in the US starting today, April 11, 2021. Every week, my husband and I spend time on Sunday watching new episodes or a past episode. We bought every episode – all the way back to the first season. As the season progressed, they refused to show evidence and experts confirmed it in theater practice. It is no longer available for purchase in “[my] region”. I hate to say it, but we miss the “old” Ghost Adventures. Maybe it’s good that it’s not “available”.

Hotel Cecil is one of my personal favorites, so I was excited to see it available. I think some of the crew represented here are really sensitive and some not so, which is wise when trying to create potentially harmful rights. It is good to have at least one intuitive person around who is less sensitive and can solve all practical problems. I find that feelings of sickness, anxiety, anger, or frustration are common in hotels and motels with unfinished business, especially in hotels and motels with high foot traffic.

That said, around the 30-35 minute mark, a non-intuitive crew member tries to use some technology to communicate with the spirit in Elisa Lam’s room. The machine says “friend” and “alive” and “woman” and “I”. I think anyone in their right mind would conclude that this is the ghost of Elisa Lam or some pretense. But they are trying to force the narrative that Richard Ramirez, who died in prison last decade of an illness, was a key player in Lam’s death. therefore man
