Over the past year, COVID-19 has slowed construction on the hotel portion of the expansion slightly, Arceo said, but the casino component remains on track. San Manuel Casino reopened last June after voluntarily closing for several months at the start of the pandemic, along with other tribal casinos in Southern California.
