Cosmopolitan Reopens Pools For Swim Season
This got us thinking – Can you use a Las Vegas pool even if you’re not staying at the resort?
It depends. Usually the answer is no and a room key is required to access the pool. However, there are exceptions, both for property visitors and local residents.
Below we’ll outline which pools you have access to (free or paid) even if you don’t live on property.
NOTE: Las Vegas is fluid and can change quickly. As always, we recommend calling the pool directly to confirm their current policy before making the trip!
Las Vegas Cabanas
Unfortunately, none of the resorts currently offer free non-guest access to their pools. Topgolf, below, is the only completely free pool in Las Vegas that is open to everyone.
Topgolf’s Hideaway Pool: This may not be a resort, but Topgolf’s 2-level pool is open to the public, as long as you’re over 21. Note that no purchase is necessary. Just show up, and sit down!
Tropicana: Local residents can get free admission to the Trop pool every day of the week with a valid Nevada driver’s license.
The Palms: After being closed for 2 years, the Palms has reopened and allows locals to pool for free Monday through Thursday. Just bring your NV ID.

Caesars Entertainment Properties: Renting a cabana or day bed at the desired pool will guarantee you the ability to enter even if you are not staying at the resort. Cabanas and daybeds can be reserved online in advance at the desired property.
Resorts under the Caesars umbrella include Caesars Palace, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Linq, Harrah’s, Cromwell, Bally’s, Rio and Flamingo.
MGM Resorts Properties: While no MGM pools offer day passes, the pools are still accessible to those willing to spend for a cabana or day bed. We recommend checking out Mandalay Bay Beach or the MGM Grand Pool Complex. Both are equipped with a lazy river. View cabana rates by resort here.

Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas Invites Guests To Dive Into 2022 Pool Season
Downtown Grand: Non-resort guests can access Downtown Grand’s rooftop Citrus pool deck through cabana or reservation desk.
Cosmopolitan: A cabana or daybed purchase will unlock access to the Boulevard and the Chelsea Pool at the Cosmopolitan. The fee you pay in advance is the minimum food and drink that can then be used at the pool.
Plaza: The rooftop pool at the Plaza is accessible to anyone who rents a cabana that costs $125 on weekdays and $200 on weekends. $50 of that fee is for rent, while the rest can be used to buy food and drinks at the pool.
Like nugget: The tank pool deck is once again accessible to non-hotel guests for a fee payable at the entrance. Prices range from $35 to $45, depending on the day. Please note that the pool is reserved for hotel guests only on Saturdays. If you are interested, you can call guest services at (702) 500-1606 to request a price for your specific date.
Las Vegas Hotel Pools Warned About Social Distancing
Circa: The swimming stadium at Circa is accessible to off-property guests for a cover charge that starts at $20, but can be more during peak times. Our advice? Place a sports bet before you hit the pool, then take in the game on the massive 143-foot amphitheater screen. We think you’ll agree that Circa is among the best pools in Vegas.
Red Rock Resort: Anyone can access Red Rock’s beautiful Sandbar Pool Deck for a $25 cover ($10 for children under 16). Although located far from the line, Sandbar offers amenities such as pool games, and several pools spread throughout the complex.
Note that non-guest access to Red Rock’s pool is based on occupancy, which can make weekends a bit more challenging. However, day bed or cabana rentals will guarantee access.
Green Valley Ranch: Like Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch offers a beautiful pool complex away from the trail, complete with a real sandy beach. Guests not staying at the hotel can access the pool for $25 ($10 for children under 16).
Vegas Pools That Non Guests Can Access
Note that access is based on occupancy, so it may be harder to get in on weekends. However, a daybed or cabana rental will guarantee you access.
M Resort: Non-hotel guests can access the M Resort pool for a cover charge of $10 Monday – Thursday and $20 Friday – Sunday. Children are always $10.
The Palms: Guests not staying at the Palms can still use the pool by paying a cover charge of $15 Monday – Thursday and $20 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Most pools in Las Vegas are open to the public, provided you’re willing to pay to rent a cabana or daybed.
The Pools Of The Venetian Resort
While the cabanas require a minimum food and beverage spend or a flat fee paid in advance, the pony for one will often get access to the pool you want.
