When Are The Pools Open In Las Vegas – While Las Vegas Swimming Season officially runs from March to October, a surprising number of hotels have pools that are open and heated year-round.

If one of your must-haves on your winter Las Vegas trip is an outdoor pool, I recommend calling the hotel ahead of time to confirm it will be open during your stay.

And while these pools are open, be aware that most services will be limited (seating, staff, food and bar).

You’ll also notice that there are very few hotels that are part of Caesars Entertainment (CET) that are still open in the winter. So if you’re specifically looking to collect some player prize points, I’d avoid CET.

Starting from north to south, this is a Las Vegas hotel with a heated pool and keeping it open in the winter so you can swim and sunbathe all year round.

Alexandria’s Sahara Basin is open year-round, weather permitting (meaning it may close on the occasional day due to inclement weather).

The Pools Of The Venetian Resort

Resort World aims to have at least 5 or more of its seven pools open year-round, making it the largest pool area on the Las Vegas Strip to open in the winter.

The Wynn Pool is still open year-round, but some sections may be accidentally closed for maintenance.

But this is one of the best pools on the strip and worth checking out.

But if you plan to use the pool in the winter, I recommend staying at the Wynn since it’s a short walk from the Encore to the Wynn Pool.

Adults Only Pools Bring Night Swimming And Entertainment, Plus Sunset Station Opens Its Oasis

The Palazzo and Venetian pools are heated and open in the winter, but the cabanas are not for rent.

The Mirage’s main pool is closed for the winter, but the smaller private Oasis pool is still open, but heated only to a low point in the mid-1970s.

This is the pool you want if you’re looking for a Las Vegas pool party in the winter.

The pool at Aria is open year-round and is said to heat up to 80 degrees, but many guests report that it’s even colder.

However, this is good during the dry winter months as it is beautifully decorated with lots of leaves.

For what it’s worth, I consider the Aria a great choice for the Bellagio if you can’t afford the Bellagio room rates.

The pool at the Waldorf Astoria remains open year-round and is an excellent choice for those looking for a quiet, low-key pool atmosphere.

This is a luxury hotel, so the pool doesn’t seem to get much use in the colder months.

Pool & Cabana/daybed Reservations

Park MGM maintains one of their two pools, open year-round. Which pool may depend on maintenance schedule and weather.

These hotel rooms are slightly cheaper compared to the Aria, Vdara and Bellagio, so Park MGM is an excellent choice for a centerpiece with a winter pool.

The main pool at the MGM Grand is open during the winter months, but the entire remaining pool area is closed, including the Lazy River.

But the good news is that this pool is only for adults and is a top choice during the summer.

So if it usually bothers you, you can be comfortable in winter and check it.

Insider tip: If you stay at the Four Seasons (which closes the pool in the winter), you can use the pool at Mandalay Bay for free.

It’s also worth noting that this hotel (including the pool) is adults only and sponsors must be 21 or older to stay on the premises.

Insider tip: Even if you’re not a guest at Hotel Circa, you can still swim here for free – just buy a day ticket.

Insider Tip: There are also 12 Pickleball courts on the rooftop by the pool! Guests at the hotel can reserve a table for free and free lessons are offered every Saturday.

You may be lucky with some of the pools choosing to open until the end of October, but by November all seasonal pools will be closed until March 2023.

The reservoir mentioned above will remain open throughout the end of 2022 and into the first part of 2023.

Aria: Aria’s leafy pool is still open for business in the winter with water heated to 80 degrees. If you stay in Vdara, you can also use Aria Pool when Vdara closes in October.

MGM Park: At least one pool at MGM Park, usually their south pool (pictured below) is open and heated to 80 degrees in the winter.

Mandalay Bay: While most of Mandalay Bay’s fancy pools close in the winter, they keep at least one hot tub open 24/7 for guests. The pool they put on rotating use depends on their maintenance schedule.

Palazzo / Venetian: The pool will remain open during the winter months and will be heated. Cabanas, however, will not be.

Wynn / Encore: Although portions of the pool may be closed regularly for maintenance, the pool is still open in the winter for guests.

World Resort: One of the newest and best pools in the generation will remain open and warm all winter long. With an area of ​​5.5 hectares and seven unique pools, this is one pool that everyone should experience. It should be noted that there is an infinity pool on the south side of the property overlooking the strip.

Mirage: Although the Mirage’s main pool closes in the winter, they still keep their smaller private Oasis pool open and heated until the mid-1970s.

Red Rock: The Red Rock Sandbar Pool is open and heated to 78 degrees throughout the winter.

Green Valley Ranch: The pool at the luxury Henderson resort is open and warm in the winter. Winter pool hours are from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, weather permitting.

South Point: Although the pool is open year-round, they usually stop heating it in October. It won’t be easy, but if you don’t mind the cold, South Point Pool is an option.
