Disney World And Disneyland Closed Indefinitely Amid Covid 19 Fears

We recently stayed at the Four Seasons Orlando and this luxury hotel was my first thought when I saw these rooms. (Check out the Four Seasons Orlando accommodations page.) You can’t tell from the photos how the finishes and attention to detail will match the Four Seasons, but it’s a good comparison.
The low-hanging fruit here would be the criticism of the lack of content. We’ve been down this road many times. At this point in the Disney Riviera resort, it seems that there is no problem. We’ve criticized the exterior concept art countless times, and we’ve mentioned the vaguely “Riviera” styling countless times.
Is There A Secret City Under Walt Disney World?
At this point, if you were expecting a perfect door but the interior was oozing with theme, you had the wrong expectations. I’m still not over the look, or the Walt Disney World trend of wild themed hotel design, but there is clearly a market for these types of “classic luxury” Disney resorts.
If anything, these interiors are better than I expected. Newly released photos show rooms that aren’t just the kind of bare space you’d find at a mid-tier chain, and the fact that they’re even comparable to the Four Seasons certainly speaks volumes. Now we expect the finished product to be on par with the Four Seasons, but none of the Walt Disney World attractions are on that level.
Besides Walt Disney World and Disney Vacation Club potentially targeting the same audience as the Four Seasons, the most interesting thing here is the new “Tower Studio” room category. According to our predictions, a lot will be written about this in the coming months and even years, and it shows interesting things.
First, Walt Disney World follows the “practical luxury” trend. The hotel industry has often done this for years, reducing the footprint of guest rooms to cut costs or offer more spacious common areas and shared amenities. It’s said to be popular with millennials, but I don’t know if that’s true. (I think half of what the world tells millennials is guesswork.)

Second, it’s another sign that a key demographic for Walt Disney World is visitors without children. More guests than ever are visiting Walt Disney World without children, and Disney hopes that pattern will continue. It definitely makes sense to design spaces with these guests in mind.
Finally, the expected fan angle on this is the cynical “pay less while paying more”. I don’t do this. There was no doubt that it was the Disney Riviera
