What Is The Last Star Wars Movie – According to a new study, how you like the new Star Wars movie will depend a lot on your expectations.
Researchers surveyed 441 people before and after watching the final episode of the popular franchise, Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi, which was released in 2017. They wanted to understand how the audience’s expectations affected their actual enjoyment of the film.
What Is The Last Star Wars Movie
The findings suggest it’s probably best not to go into “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” thinking you’re either going to love it or hate it, said study co-author and associate professor James Alex Bonus. in Communication at The Ohio State University.
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Review:
As you might expect, the people who had the most expectations for The Last Jedi but were disappointed by the movie liked it the most out of everyone who took the poll.
But the most interesting, according to the bonus, were people who had very low expectations of the movie, but after watching the movie, they felt very happy. Their overall enjoyment was lower than those who felt equally entertained but watched the film with higher expectations.
“The negativity brought them down, and even if they were pleasantly surprised by the film, they still didn’t like it as much as other people.
The results show how much our expectations can affect our enjoyment of a movie, especially in a franchise like Star Wars where the audience has a history with the characters or the plot.

“It’s a lot less about what’s in the movie and what you expect,” Bonus said.
In this study, online participants recruited through Amazon Mechanical Turk were surveyed three weeks prior to the 2017 release of The Last Jedi. They were asked to rate on a 7-point scale how happy, sad, and nostalgic they thought the movie made them feel. .
After three weeks, those who had seen the film were asked how happy, sad and nostalgic they felt watching the film. They also rated how much they liked and rated the movie.
The results showed that many people didn’t predict exactly how they would react after seeing The Last Jedi, Bonus said. This goes hand in hand with other research showing that people are poor at predicting how different experiences will make them feel.
How To Watch Every ‘star Wars’ Movie In Order
About 55 percent of participants in this study did not accurately predict how they would feel about the movie. Many of them didn’t take it entirely wrong, like saying the movie would make them happy when it didn’t.
However, many worried about their feelings and predicted that, for example, a movie would make them very happy, when it would only make them a little happy.
Another interesting fact of the study: people who in the first survey expected The Last Jedi to make them feel nostalgic were more likely to watch the film when they were surveyed again three weeks later. Expectations of how happy they would be did not predict viewer behavior.
The study was co-authored by Nicholas Matthews, an assistant professor of communication at Ohio State, and Tim Wolf, a researcher at LMU Munich, Germany.

Lucasfilm Is Developing A New ‘star Wars’ Movie
Cultural Conversation Tony Black’s The Last Jedi doesn’t stray far from the mythological themes and fantasy tropes that Lucas films played with, but it feels like the start of a brave new world. February 16 in 2021
Parents should know that Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is part of the billion dollar Star Wars saga that continues the segment of history that began with The Force Awakens. It takes place after the events of that film and is just as brutal, with several battles, explosions, space chases and close-quarters duels. There is one fairly obvious death (though it’s not bloody), and several people die in combat, in some cases sacrificing themselves for their mission. There are several times when characters seem close to death, but they recover. As for the romance, expect to see one quick, tender kiss and some awkward tension between the other two characters. Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren appears shirtless in one scene for no other reason than to be a female character, and there’s a weird shot of the character milking a nursing creature and drinking the milk. The characters also drink cocktails in a fancy casino. The language is modest with few words like “damn”, “what the hell”, “shut up” and the like. Directed by Rian Johnson, the film features several strong female characters, including Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Leia (Carrie Fisher), as well as diversity of resistance and a strong message of courage, teamwork, hope and loyalty. Unless you’re a Star Wars fan, May 4th is probably best known as “the day before Cinco de Mayo.” In that case, you might be used to thinking of the date as May the Fourth… as “may the force be with you.”
You Won’t Live To See The Final Star Wars Movie
Of course, Disney wants us to think about this otherwise average date. Since 2012, acquired by Lucasfilm, Disney has celebrated Star Wars.
