Cecil Hotel: Real Life Horror Hotel To Reopen, But Not To Guests
“It doesn’t get bigger or worse than that,” said Zak Bagans, a leading paranormal investigator. “We’ve been trying to break into these rooms for over 10 years, so this is a big deal – a first-of-its-kind investigation into the Cecil Hotel. It has a dark and infamous history and is one of the most haunted places we’ve ever been. This is no ordinary hotel. With its connection to serial killer Richard Ramirez and the tragic death of Elisa Lam, there is no denying that there are spirits within this building. But the question is who are they, or what .”
The Cecil Hotel has a history of seedy, haunted businesses, drug dealers and even serial killers. Richard Ramirez, the “Night Stalker”, is a self-proclaimed devil worshiper who is said to have committed some of the murders of him while staying at a hotel in the 1980s. Filled with stories of paranormal events, the historic building is the scene of horror – the inspiration for books, movies and even a season of ‘American Horror Story’.
In 2013, it was the site of one of the worst mysteries of the 21st century, when the body of college student Elisa Lam was found in one of the hotel’s rooftop water tanks. The only thing of note was the disturbing security camera footage of Lam acting strangely in a hotel elevator prior to her disappearance and death. The event remains a mystery, and questions remain about how Lam got into the tank and whether it was a human or dark force that lured him there.
The GHOST ADVENTURES team – Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley – begin their investigation by following in the footsteps of Elisa Lam. Calling on psychics Michael and Marti Parry for help, they investigate the house where she lived, the water tower where she was found, and even the elevator where she was last seen. They’re convinced there’s more to this building, and it may be because of one of its most famous former residents: assassin Richard Ramirez. Could it be that Ramirez’s devil worship ritual opened up the Cecil Hotel to a full-fledged demon that would affect Lam?
True Story ‘crime Scene: Vanishing At The Cecil Hotel’
As the crew investigates Ramirez’s former home, they form a shocking bond with what may be the darkest power in him. But the list of numbers that could contribute to hotel stays goes beyond Lam and Ramirez. As they delve deeper into their investigation, the team encounters physical pain, including unexplained scrapes, and some of the most terrifying and compelling audio and visual evidence they have ever encountered, leading them to believe that many dark forces still exist at the hotel. he is very much alive.
