What Disney World Hotels Are Open – There’s nothing quite like staying at Walt Disney World, and while guests at Lake Buena Vista Resort have more than two dozen Disney-branded hotels to explore, Disney recently announced some aggressive expansion plans that will include three brand new properties. Its already impressive list of resorts including one opening later this year!
In an effort to increase Disney Vacation Club inventory in 2017, Disney announced the new Disney Riviera Resort, which will be located near Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Thanks to its central location, guests staying at this resort will not only be able to enjoy incredible views of the nighttime shows at Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios from the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, but they will also be able to take advantage of the Brand new Disney Skyway Transportation System. , opening this month at Walt Disney World.

Construction on the 300-room hotel is nearing completion, and Disney has announced that Disney’s Riviera Resort will open before the end of the year on December 16, 2019.
This new hotel will feature a mix of Deluxe Villas, 1 Bedroom, 2 Bedroom and 3 Bedroom Villas, in addition to the brand new Tower Studio room style. Designed for just two people, this new type of accommodation includes a private balcony with seating for two and a kitchenette. However, perhaps the most impressive feature of this room is that there is no full size bed! Instead of a traditional in-room bed, Disney is equipping each Murphy Tower studio with a queen-size bed that can be mounted on the wall (you can see an example below, look for the handles!)
Visitors interested in this small room concept may wonder if its compact size and design might make it a good value for those looking to stay near a gondola station, but unfortunately these rooms will still be quite expensive, with rack rates starting at $335 per night plus tax.
As for other room types, Deluxe Studios start at $503 per night and 1 Bedroom Villas start at $743. Two-bedroom villas start at $1,136 per night, while large three-bedroom villas with one king and four queen beds and 1 queen-sleeper sofa start at $2,277.

Disney Genie is a free scheduling tool in the My Disney Experience app. Get a personalized itinerary based on your interests that updates throughout the day and shows current AND predicted wait times to help you predict faster entry into rides.
You can upgrade to a Disney Genie+ with a $15 per day pass to choose the times available to skip the line for various rides and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance. You can make one withdrawal at a time during the day.
Select on-demand rides, such as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, offer individual access to Lightning Lane, which is not part of the Genie+ service. Prices vary by date, attraction and park, and you can only make two purchases each day. Standby is still available at other attractions that do not use the virtual queue.
Extra Magic Hours will not return, but Disney has introduced the Early Theme Park Entry benefit. Instead of a full hour early entry to a theme park, Disney Resort hotel guests and guests of other select hotels will have 30 minutes early entry to the
