Restaurants That Are Currently Open – There are many changes at Disney restaurants due to the pandemic. The Disney Dining Plan is not currently offered, and many on-site restaurants are not open, and those that are open have limited menus. The new theme park reservation system also requires customers to make a reservation to visit the parks, so you’ll need it if you plan to eat at a theme park restaurant. There’s always a great selection of Quick Service options available throughout Walt Disney World property, and we’re going to share some of our favorites at the 4 major theme parks, Disney Springs, and resorts!
We’ve always been big fans of the Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, but it’s very popular and often very crowded. Especially now, as many tables are blocked off to maintain social distancing, you might want to eat here at less popular times to find seats. We think Pecos Bill’s menu is always full of delicious options like the fajita platter and nachos in various forms (pork, beef, and chicken). You can also get a standard cheeseburger, a southwestern salad or a bowl of rice, and don’t forget to enjoy mini churros for dessert! If you’re a fan of the toppings bar here, know that while it’s not currently available, you can customize your order using mobile ordering in the My Disney Experience app!

If you’re looking for a second quick service option at the Magic Kingdom, check out the Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland. We always use mobile ordering when possible, and it’s also available here. Their current menu is mostly limited to flatbreads, but we always find them delicious. It’s no New Jersey pizza, but for flatbread, we think it’s a pretty good meal. They also serve chicken nuggets and fries, which even the pickiest kids and adults will enjoy.
Kensington Market Just Got A New Spot For Peruvian Style Sushi
Located on the water’s edge of the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase, La Cantina de San Angel is a great place to dine and enjoy views of the World Showcase lagoon. Any waterfront restaurant without a hefty price tag is good value in our book! As you might guess, the menu features nachos, tacos, empanadas, and rice bowls, as well as a mouth-watering variety of margaritas. This location has outdoor seating only and does not offer mobile ordering. Not looking for Mexican-inspired flavors? We also think Katsura Grill, tucked away in the Japan pavilion, and Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK pavilion are good choices.
Sunshine Seasons offers plenty of fresh and healthy options, as well as the much sought after air conditioning and plenty of seating! Located in the Land Pavilion at Epcot, Sunshine Seasons currently serves standard fare like cheeseburgers and pizza, but you’ll also find oak-grilled salmon and chicken, and salads. They usually have a lot of delicious take-out snack options which are always our son’s favorites which usually taste better with a yogurt and apple slice or an encrusted sandwich than a full meal!
Don’t miss the chance to eat at Satu’li Canteen if you visit Animal Kingdom. This Pandora restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and also offers mobile ordering. This location features two unique items: their “bowls” which are a build-it-yourself concept consisting of a protein, grain, vegetable, and sauce, and their Bao bun cheeseburger “pods.” We also couldn’t resist one of the dishes on the kids’ menu: a hot dog wrapped in dough (think a giant pig in a blanket) served with vegetable crisps.
If you’re in the mood for barbecue, head to Flame Tree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom. From chicken and ribs to pulled pork and macaroni and cheese, you’re sure to leave hungry. If you are looking for a snack, you can also get fries and onion rings here. The seating area is outside, but it has great views of the waterways with Expedition Everest in the distance.
Customer Service Suffers At Short Staffed Restaurants As Covid Takes Toll
One of our favorite spots in Hollywood Studios is Ronto Roasters, located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This recommendation should be expected with a disclaimer that the menu here is limited to two main dishes and the hours have also been shortened recently. That said, we love the Morning Ronto Wrap so much that we think you need to go to Galaxy’s Edge in the morning to enjoy it! There wasn’t a huge seating area, but we always found a spot (even if that meant sitting on a nearby stone wall) to enjoy our food and people watch. On Batuu (the planet you visit on your way to Galaxy’s Edge, that is), you’re sure to see some interesting characters roaming the area if you keep your eyes peeled.
If you’re wandering around Disney Springs and looking for a fun, quick service place, check out Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy! Their claim to fame is their sauces, and we love how affordable all of their options are. Chicken tenders are the main draw, but you can also get salads and sides like loaded fries, macaroni and cheese, and even fried pickle chips.
Maybe it’s because Disney’s Polynesian Resort is one of my DVC ‘homes’, but I can’t take a Disney vacation without a trip to Captain Cook’s for their Thai meatball dish. They also have American favorites, like chicken fingers and cheeseburgers. The menu is currently limited (and we hope the nachos make a comeback!) but we still think it’s a solid choice for a quick meal. The station’s monorail won’t stop at the Polynesian for the foreseeable future due to a major construction project, but you can still easily access the station from the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). After dinner, continue to visit the Pineapple Lanai (next door) for a Dole Whip and stroll through the beautiful Polynesian Gardens!
If you’re looking for a relaxing quick-service meal, we highly recommend heading to the Wilderness Lodge to enjoy the Geyser Point Bar & Grill. This lakeside alfresco lounge has great views and the whole resort has such a laid back vibe that we think it’s worth a visit just to see the lodge if you haven’t already. The menu offers salads and burgers, as well as seafood and even a charcuterie board. Of course, they also have many branded drinks to choose from.
