There are many things that don’t work, but two things come to mind. One is that you have the home but you will need to request it. In addition, there is still no dining in the room.
The $400 million renovation of the Hotel del Coronado has taken 18 years and should be completed by the end of 2022. I keep a close eye on how it affects the guest experience (or not).
What has been accomplished so far is amazing. It began with practical improvements such as undergrounding the parking lot and installing wheelchair access. New eateries such as Beach + Taco Shack opened. The signature restaurant got a makeover, reopening as Sea to Table Series. The main pool was completely renovated and reopened with new cabanas. New cabanas and viewing rooms are open for reservations and some have fire pits.
To the south of Dasun, you’ll find the Beach House neighborhood and the new South Point Event Center, both expected to open in late 2022. Any view room resort view that has no view listed or marked in its title can be exposed to this function.

Some but all Ocean View and Oceanfront rooms are also affected, although these rooms are not marked as the property’s development view. If you book in the fall and go ahead, the views are fine.

You must first narrow down which building to choose. The choice is easy if you are looking for suites, because they are only located in Victorian and historical buildings.
Hotel del Coronado has an online map that you should look at before choosing a room. This will give you an idea of where the main buildings and facilities are located. Here is a screenshot of the map.
Rooms and suites in Victorian buildings have historic hotel features such as tiled, uneven floors and small, single-sink bathrooms with shower/tub combinations. There are no shelves or storage space in the bathroom.

I recently stayed in an Ocean View King Victorian Studio Suite, which has the reverse layout of the photo above (the living room was by the window).
I love sitting on the patio and getting lost in the hustle and bustle of the resort. If you want more ocean than you can see, The Views Oceanfront rooms and suites have the best ocean views on the entire property.
Some rooms in Victorian buildings have balconies or terraces, but your room isn’t guaranteed to have one. If a balcony is important to you, request it at the time of booking. Partial sea view Victorian rooms do not have balconies.

Cabanas rooms are enhanced with beautiful design. Some first floor rooms include outdoor fire pits, chaise lounges and covered terraces to soak up the California sunshine.
The Cabana Beachfront Terrace Fire Pit rooms are among my favorite Hotel del Coronado rooms. These rooms open onto a lawn area with your own covered terrace and fire pit.
Many families use the attic as an extra room. Meaning, parents hang out here while babies and toddlers sleep in the bedroom.
The sand is just steps from your patio, so it’s more or less direct access to Coronado Beach. great
Iconic Hotel Del Coronado Revamps Resort Restaurants
The rooms in the cabanas are near the main pool and steps from the beach. This building is a great location for families and those who want to be close to the beach and the Hotel del Coronado pool.
Some of the rooms in the cabanas border busy public areas, but some feel it’s a fair trade-off, especially if they have young children who don’t want to walk too far to the pool or beach.
The cabanas’ four-person bedrooms now have queen-sized sofa sleepers. A family of four can sleep in the king room! Double queen rooms do not have sofa sleepers and do not have rollaway beds due to local fire codes.
The building sits by the side of the main pool (you can see it on the right behind the black net behind the cabanas building in the photo above) and is a “pre- and post-adventure checkpoint for active guests.” open
Coronado Beachfront Hotels
Its name, The View, reflects what you can expect here – through the new floor-to-ceiling views. Guestrooms offer white, bright havens with coastal color accents.
It is the tallest building in the resort and is closer to the beach than the Victorian building, so you can expect beautiful sea views from the top floor.
Your choices of views are – King or Queen (no-view king and two queens), Resort View, Ocean View, Ocean Front, and Ocean Side Terrace. They are in front of the building so book Oceanfront or Beachside if you can. Ocean View is also highly bookable. However, on the south side and behind the curtain you can see or hear the construction of the new events center and Shore House neighborhood.
Some ocean view rooms are exposed in this building, although there is no sign of the property’s improved view. While exterior construction is coming to a close, they should be working primarily on interior finishes during the summer of 2022. Also, do not book two queen rooms at Resort View, The Views – King, or The Views – The Views. Most of them are architectural exhibits.
