Park Royal Family Fun Centre
Great building, nice room and shower, friendly and helpful staff, good food at the buffet and restaurant (I’ve only been to the Caribbean, small portions but great food). Lots to do around, wish I had more than 2 days.
The location is great, the hotel facilities are good, Gualberto at the pool bar is a great opportunity to give this man a raise.
Our first room was terrible and we were emotional, constantly asking for our room to be cleaned and it taking hours, never enough towels and understaffed. The hotel caters to timeshares and fills the place with people who bring down its reputation as it looks more like a children’s playground than a beautiful 5 star hotel. During peak hours, the price was higher than usual. The buffet food was not the best, they freeze the food until ready. The reservation system is terrible for restaurants, and if they don’t, they say it’s full. The food at every restaurant was also terrible. Chefs don’t care about it at all. I have been to this hotel several times and will not go back because it is about the timeshares that have ruined what was once a very good hotel. Ordinary tourists are ignored.
The food was terrible. Everything else in the hotel was of a very high standard, but the food was honestly bad. I had a good stay at the hostel and it was a “5 star” hotel.

The room was smaller than expected for a suite, the toilet and shower were small, opening the bathroom door practically hit the toilet seat, not much room.
Bad food except for the Caribbean restaurant, rude staff in the dining room especially when occupied by day visitors, few chairs, predatory sales staff.

The food is really good! The infinity pool is great, great view, no kids, good music and bar. It is close to the ferry, airport and parks and also offers snorkel trips. I LOVE IT!
WiFi is terrible. You better plan for it. Also, they don’t tell you, but 80% of restaurants require a dress code. Then pack some pants and nice dresses for dinner. The hot tub is not hot and some of the people who work there are not nice.
The hotel has 3 different pools – one for adults only, which was great fun. The hotel offers one hour of free snorkeling in the sea which was amazing – definitely worth it! The buffet was delicious, much nicer than most buffets. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a lot of character. The infinity pool was great too!
The line for dinner reservations was unbelievable. People start lining up at 9:30, so unless you’re up early, you’re not just eating at the buffet at the restaurant. The wifi did not work the second night and day of our stay

We got off the cruise ship for a spa day. They didn’t tell us where to eat lunch, so we ate horrible nachos and disgusting burgers. They should also advise caution when entering the pool and pool bar. The stairs were steep and the concrete bar stools were rough. In fact, I hit my knee…not very safe or comfortable for the money we paid for our spa day.
Aldo was very helpful and accommodating in every way. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
