That’s a great question, and the good news is the short answer is yes. In general – yes, you can book a hotel for another person, the person with the points does not have to be there at check-in. As in most cases, the exact details depend on which hotel chain, the mood of the check-in agent, and other circumstances.

Another thing to note is that if your name is on the reservation, you will be responsible for any charges/damages incurred by the guest during your stay at the hotel.
